BRAND STORY

Takitini was born from the richness of mātauranga Māori and te ao Māori values and concepts, alongside contemporary knowledge. It is more than just a training centre; it is an āhuru mōwai (sanctuary) where wawata (dreams and aspirations) are nurtured, potentials are unlocked, and futures are reimagined.

OUR CULTURAL FRAMEWORK

Nga Pou e Rima (NPER) is our cultural framework infused into our PTE and programmes that maintains a Maori world view in how we operate, delivery and train our tauira. It is the focus of working with our tauira holitcially stemming from Te Whare Tapa Whā and adding another pou called Ahurea – Culture, the result of which is NPER. Each pou has a specific focus which forms a collective response to caring for and training our tauira. NPER is explained as follows:
